Terms & Conditions for Workers (Tip Receivers)

1. Registration & Eligibility

  • By signing up, you confirm that you are 18 years or older and legally entitled to receive income in South Africa.
  • You agree to provide accurate personal details and documentation, including your full name, mobile number, postal address, bank account details, and a valid ID or passport.
  • TiPiT may reject any registration at its own discretion and without justification.
  • TiPiT may require additional verification steps before you can receive payments.
  • While we make every effort to build and optimize TiPiT, we cannot be held liable for any errors, disruptions, or outcomes resulting from its use. Transactions and donation transfers may incur additional fees, which are the responsibility of the user. TiPiT shall not be held liable for any associated costs, fees, or taxes. Furthermore, platform updates and modifications may occur without prior notice.

2. How TiPiT Works

  • TiPiT provides you with a personal link and QR code that your guests can scan to leave a digital tip.
  • TiPiT processes the payment on behalf of the guest securely.
  • You will receive notifications about tips via SMS, WhatsApp, or email – you must be able to receive messages via at least one of these channels.
  • TiPiT aggregates the received tips and initiates payouts twice a month (every two weeks) via bank transfer.

3. Service Fee

  • TiPiT deducts a 10% service fee from every tip you receive.
  • This fee helps cover platform costs, operational expenses, wildlife support contributions, and customer service.
  • The deducted amount is visible on your payout summary.

4. Payout & Balance

  • Your net tip balance (after deduction of fees) is credited to your TiPiT account.
  • Payouts are initiated twice per month and take 2–5 working days to reach your bank account.
  • Payouts are only triggered when your available balance is at least ZAR 500.
  • Balances below ZAR 500 will remain in your account until the threshold is met.

5. Referral Program

You can invite others to join TiPiT and earn status rewards:

  • For every successful referral (when someone signs up with your code), you and the new user receive 1 point.
  • You can collect points to unlock visual badges that appear on your tip page.
  • There are three badge levels:
    • Wildlife Supporter – unlocked with 1 point or can be purchased for R300.
    • Silver Wildlife Supporter – unlocked with 10 points or can be purchased for R900.
    • Gold Wildlife Supporter – unlocked with 30 points or can be purchased for R3,000.
  • TiPiT may offer rewards or promotions based on your referral level.

6. Responsibilities & Misuse

  • You must use TiPiT only for its intended purpose: receiving genuine tips from real guests.
  • You may not attempt to fake, manipulate, or solicit tips in misleading ways.
  • You are responsible for maintaining professional and respectful conduct.
  • Any abuse of the platform – including fake referrals, fraud, or using the platform for unrelated payments – will result in permanent suspension of your account.

7. Compliance & Review

  • TiPiT complies with anti-money laundering (AML) and South African financial regulations.
  • We may require identity verification or additional documents before enabling payouts.
  • Suspicious activity may lead to account suspension and legal reporting.

8. General Terms

  • TiPiT may reject, suspend or close any user account at any time and without justification.
  • TiPiT may change these Terms & Conditions at any time. You will be notified in case of major changes.

Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email or SMS.
